Bintje is a high yielding, late maturing varity with oblong tubers with shallow eyes, smooth pale yellow skin with light yellow flesh. The plant is medium sized and compact with few small white flowers. Specific gravity is medium. It stores fair. Its useful on the fresh and processing markets with good fry and chip color. It has resistances to PVA and leafroll virus. Its susceptible to common scab, late blight, and PVY. It is a private variety of Agrico.
