Desiree is a high yielding, medium maturing variety from Holland with long oval tubers with red skin and light yellow flesh. Plants are medium large and sprading with many deep violet flowers. It stores well with a short dormancy. It is resistant to PVY and skin spot. It has low nitrogen needs. It is suscetible to late blight, leafroll, and common scab.
