Green Mountain is a high yielding, late maturing variety with oblong tubers with buff often netted skin and light yellow flesh. Plants are large and sprading with white flowers. Its useful for fresh markets with high specific gravity. It is resistant to fusarium dry rot, blackleg, and verticilium wilt. It is very susceptible to PVY, leafroll, common scab, late blight and net necrosis. This is an old variety released in 1885.
