Kenebec is a high yielding, medium maturing variety with oblong tubers with shallow eyes, white flesh and smooth buff skin. Plants are large and spreading with large leaves and few white flowers. Specific gravity is medium high and was a very popular chipping variety. It is resistant to late blight, blackleg, PVY,PVA, net necrosis, and drought and is very well adapted to many climates. It is susceptible to verticilium wilt and pink eye.
