Morning Gold is a high yielding, medium maturing variety from Holland with oval tubers with smooth light yellow skin and light yellow flesh. Plants are medium sized and sprading. Its useful for the fresh markets with medium specific gravity. It stores well with medium dormancy. It has resistances to leafroll, PVY, late blight, bruising, blackspot bruise and secondary growth. It has good drought tolerance. It is susceptible to common scab. This is a private variety of HPZC.
